COVID-19 Vaccination Training

COVID-19 vaccination training remains essential as more individuals become eligible to receive a vaccine. The Public Health Foundation (PHF), working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has compiled vaccine storage, handling, administration, and communication trainings along with trainings specific to the Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines, and made them easily accessible through the training plan, COVID-19 Vaccination Training Programs for Healthcare Professionals

 
 
 
Rebuilding Public Health Infrastructure

Essential to rebuilding public health infrastructure is our workforce. COVID-19 Contact Tracing Training: What Have We Learned?

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, PHF has responded to more than 170 requests from health departments, academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, healthcare facilities, and international ministries of health for free customized contact tracing training packages. Explore lessons learned through providing this service and how the TRAIN Learning Network can boost training capacity and capabilities for preparedness and response efforts.
 
 
 
Now Available: Integrating Racial Equity into Practice Learning Bundle

Public health and healthcare professionals know firsthand the impacts that long-standing discriminatory structures and institutionalized racism have on health outcomes. This has been particularly pronounced throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. To build skills, knowledge, and learning for health professionals integrating racial equity into practice, PHF developed a curated set of high quality and complementary trainings. AHD Webinar: A Student Perspective: Growing Academic Health Department Partnerships through Student Internship Programs

Internship programs are a core component of many academic health department (AHD) partnerships. Join the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice and PHF for a webinar on May 5, 2021 to hear directly from University of Arizona Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health AHD student interns helping to build an AHD partnership in rural Arizona, support COVID-19 response efforts by blending public health and graphic design skills, and document successes and lessons learned to help others in AHD partnership efforts. The annual Public Health Improvement Training (PHIT) will be held virtually from June 7-9, 2021 and feature skill-building and interactive workshops focused on public health performance improvement. PHF experts are presenting several engaging sessions, including deep dives on quality improvement and performance management, a session on aligning quality improvement with the Performance Improvement Competencies, and a town hall meeting to inform revision of the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals.
