COVID-19 Vaccination Training

COVID-19 vaccination training remains essential as younger populations become eligible to receive vaccinations and states move into later phases of reopening. Use the Public Health Foundation’s (PHF’s) live search available through the TRAIN Learning Network to access new and updated trainings on COVID-19 vaccinations

For current vaccine storage, handling, administration, and communication trainings, along with trainings specific to the Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines, access the COVID-19 Vaccination Training Programs for Healthcare Professionals training plan developed by PHF and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

A preliminary draft of proposed revisions to the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) is currently available for open comment. This draft aims to address feedback from the public health and population health community related to the concepts included in the Core Competencies, as well as to offer proposed changes to the structure of the competency set to make it easier to use. Feedback on this draft is welcome through August 15, 2021. Share your thoughts today and help shape the future direction of public health workforc​e development.
