About Me:
I am interested in becoming affiliated with the AHD Learning Community in order to broaden the scope of public health practice of myself and my public health staff. I have a long-standing interest in expanding the practice range of urban health departments and have worked for many years with organizations which promote maximizing public health resources to leverage greater health status benefits to the communities we serve. I am a public health nurse with an MPH and Doctor of Public Health Nursing education who has a background in Maternal and Child Health program administration. I am particularly interested in health disparities research and in low cost health action models which empower local communities.

- I am the Regional Director for local health departments located in the central, major urban area of Arkansas. I am interested our developing the largest, most urban health department in my Region - Pulaski County Central Health Department - into an Academic Health Department in collaboration with the local University teaching hospital (medical and nursing schools).
