About Me:

I have been interested in academic/practice linkages for education and research for many years. I conduct research in local public health system performance, public health partnerships, and public health nursing education and practice. I direct the HRSA-funded statewide public health nursing workforce development collaborative called "Linking Education and Practice for Excellence in Public Health Nursing" (see our website at www.son.wisc.edu/leap). I co-direct the Wisconsin Public Health Practice-Based Research Network established in 2009 with funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. I also serve on the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County. I am interested in promoting active linkages between academia and practice for practice improvement, research, and extending the reach of public health services.
