TRAIN Course Provider Benefits

Overview

​The TRAIN Learning Network works alongside institutions that develop quality e-learning to ensure that these trainings are easily accessible. Course providers include: government agencies at the federal, state, and local levels; academic institutions, including schools of public health and funded programs such as the Public Health Training Centers; associations, non-profits; and others.

 

As a result of these collaborations, TRAIN offers a catalog of thousands of online courses and other training content that is widely available to learners through a single national platform. The vast majority (98%) of the content on TRAIN is free, with formats ranging from e-learning courses to recorded webinars. Additionally:


Course Provider Services
 
Approved TRAIN course providers can do the following at no cost:
  • Post course information (online and onsite) that can be visible to all TRAIN learners, or a more targeted group 
  • Generate and manage course rosters
  • Communicate with course registrants
  • Assign and deliver continuing education credits
  • Test knowledge and evaluate training
  • Award certificates to attendees

TRAIN course providers can also access the following data for individual courses at no cost:

  • Course enrollment and participation data
  • Pre- and post-assessment and evaluation data
  • Learner job roles and work settings
  • Demographic information
  • Learner geographic and professional information

 
Course Provider Benefits

There are many benefits to becoming a TRAIN course provider:
  • FREE to post courses and access course-specific data on TRAIN
  • Greater visibility to TRAIN’s large audience of learners, which now includes more than 2.5 million registered learners who work in the public health, healthcare, and preparedness sectors from all states and U.S. territories
    • Any health professional can register on TRAIN for free
  • Ability for state and local health and preparedness agencies to use and track trainings for their staff
    • A total of 27 state health and preparedness agencies, as well as many local health departments, already use TRAIN’s LMS platform to track staff training
  • Ability to contribute to public health training content
