Idea Parking Lot Matrix

Overview

Idea Parking Lot Matrix Template.jpgThe Idea Parking Lot Matrix is a quality improvement (QI) tool that supports the effectiveness of meetings by minimizing distractions and unrelated discussions. This tool can be used to capture and store ideas that are not relevant to the current discussion, but can be used to drive other improvements. Developed by PHF Senior Quality Advisor Jack Moran and Quality Improvement Expert Harry Lenderman, the Idea Parking Lot Matrix organizes these ideas in a way that analyzes potential for future improvement and level of implementation. This tool is one of many supplements to the 2012 Public Health Quality Improvement Encyclopedia.
