Vaccine Storage and Transport Video Series

The Public Health Foundation (PHF), in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has developed a comprehensive three-part video series on vaccine storage and transport.

It is imperative to equip the immunization workforce with accurate and updated guidance on proper vaccine storage and transport protocols. Vaccines stored in unsuitable temperatures can permanently lose potency and increase the risk of patients receiving compromised vaccinations. Due to vaccines having their own unique storage and transport requirements, they must be handled carefully to ensure effectiveness, reduce costs associated with discarded vaccines, and avoid patient burden with the need to revaccinate.

These instructional videos are designed to demonstrate proper vaccine transport for planned and unplanned situations and how to identify qualified containers and packouts. The series includes:

Upon watching the videos, viewers will be able to:

Help us share this resource by utilizing the  Vaccine Storage and Transport Video Series Promotional Toolkit, which includes key messages, pre-drafted social media content, and adaptable images to positively contribute to vaccine-handling confidence among immunization workforce staff.
