Mark your calendars to join the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) for its next meeting on September 16, 2024, from 2-4pm EDT. In addition to hearing the latest updates about initiatives of the Council on Linkages, including the Academic Health Department Learning Community and Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals, the meeting will also feature a guest speaker from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Public Health Infrastructure Center, Division of Workforce Development. The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice’s new work on public health workforce retention and recruitment will be featured during a session on Retention and Recruitment in Governmental Public Health on September 19^th. Join the Public Health Foundation this October for the 2024 Public Health Learning Forum! This year’s meeting will be held virtually, with the theme "Workforce Development In Action." Sessions will focus on training and tools to support public health workforce development and build governmental public health workforce capacity. Explore topics such as the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals, academic health department partnerships, workforce capacity assessments, and more.
