  • Top 10 Problems Encountered by Quality Improvement Teams: This blog entry by PHF Senior Quality Advisor John W. Moran identifies and discusses top problems encountered by QI teams, as well as how to overcome those challenges.

Developed from the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals and the Core Competencies for Performance Improvement Managers, the Competencies for Performance Improvement Professionals in Public Health are a set of skills desirable for performance improvement (PI) professionals working in public health. As part of the process of developing these competencies, a set of resources and tools related to a draft version of the competencies was collected to help support the development of skills and knowledge for PI professionals. Please note: These resources and tools were gathered based on a draft of the PI Competencies. Although this list of competencies does not reflect the complete set of PI Competencies, the resources and tools available can offer a starting point for exploring resources in this area.
