Andrea Dayot Recognized for Workplace Safety Innovation

Andrea Dayot, BSN, RN, Director of Occupational Health at Oregon Health and Science University and a subject matter expert for PHF, received an Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Award for Innovation, recognizing her work in creating an idea, product, or concept that promotes a safer workplace. Andrea was a part of creating training to equip healthcare workers with accurate information to safely administer COVID-19 vaccinations to the public. Long-Term Care Provider Perspectives on Promoting Bivalent Vaccinations for Older Adults: Archive Now Available

COVID-19 vaccination rates among long-term care (LTC) residents and nursing home staff remain low. In February 2023, PHF and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) hosted a Communities of Practice webinar featuring presenters representing different roles in LTC settings, with diversity in geography, size, scope, and approach, all working to increase the uptake of bivalent boosters.
